When helping a consumer complete their enrollment through JET Insure, you might notice that the MAKE A PAYMENT option isn't visible in their profile. This guide explains why that happens and how to proceed.
The MAKE A PAYMENT button in the consumer profile is designed to connect directly to an insurance carrier’s payment portal — but not every carrier participates in this feature.
If the MAKE A PAYMENT button is missing, it usually means:
The insurance company has not enabled direct payment links.
The payment feature isn't supported for the specific plan your client selected.
The binder payment has already been made.
The plan's start date has passed.
The application is still being processed by the carrier, and payment instructions haven't been posted yet.
Even if the MAKE A PAYMENT button isn’t available, consumer still need to pay their first premium directly to the carrier to activate coverage.
You can assist your client by:
Visiting the insurance company's website.
Using the carrier's Make a Payment or Pay Premium page.
Calling the carrier’s billing department to arrange payment over the phone.
Note: The payment deadline typically falls before the plan start date — encourage consumers to pay as early as possible to avoid delays in coverage.
Double-check plan selection: Make sure your customer has selected a plan that requires payment for activation.
Guide customers to the carrier: If the button is missing, remind them that payment must still be submitted directly.
